Fast Cash Helped Me Get Off The Streets…

Back in 2002, I found myself homeless in Montreal, Canada.

Along with my dog, I lived out of my GMC Jimmy, showered at Concordia University’s Victoria Gym, and struggled to feed both my canine best friend and I since I was broke, and job less.

My only option was to pawn my professional grade digital camera and laptop computer, which I did for $400 cash.

With this money, I was able to rent a tiny studio apartment, then using library computers, write up and print a few resumes.

Within 2 days I had a job designing websites, and thanks to the generosity of my boss, who gave me a small pay advance after I proved myself worthy of his trust, I was able to get groceries and buy a bicycle which I used to get to and back from work 6 days a week.

Within a few weeks, I bought back my laptop and camera from the St-Henri Pawn Shop.

So, as you can see, these was indeed a time when I found myself in dire need of quick cash, and I found what I needed at a pawn shop.

Eventually, I was able to save up a few thousand dollars, trade the old Jimmy for a Jeep Grand Cherokee, which I sold to buy a more economical car, a Toyota Corolla, that took both my dog and I back to Florida in May 2003. That summer, I met Elizabeth who soon thereafter became my wife, and eventually, the mother of our four beautiful daughters Grace, Trinity, Faith and Mercy.

Today, Elizabeth and I own a 2.6 acre homestead on which we harvest fruit and vegetables, milk from our dairy goats and eggs from our chicken and duck hens.

Consider this next time you find yourself in need of quick cash… :)
